About
40ft Brewery started as a home-brew project before relocating in 2015 to Dalston in two repurposed 20ft shipping containers — the UK's first container brewery. Now operating from the Blackhorse Beer Mile in Walthamstow, the team brews a full range of modern beers on a 10HL kit with fully manual, open-top fermentation. The Bootyard taproom in Dalston remains an Hackney institution and was named UK's Best Independent Craft Beer Taproom by SIBA in 2021.
