Founded in Wombwell, Barnsley in 2003 with a 10-barrel plant, Acorn Brewery has grown to a 160-barrel weekly capacity and is now proudly back under original ownership. All beers are produced using the prized Barnsley Bitter yeast strain dating to the 1850s, lending a distinctive character to the core range and its rotating seasonal specials. Monthly Acorn Beer Club events open the brewery to the public for guided talks and fresh pints of real ale.
