In a first for Octomore .4 expression, we have matured barley from Octomore farm in a combination of bourbon barrels and French virgin oak casks. The barley evokes a subtle, earthy undercurrent, whilst bourbon barrels bring toasted oak, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, and a hint of sweet smoke. French virgin oak adds maturity beyond this single malt’s five years.
