Charles Wells is a Bedford-based family brewing company with roots stretching back to 1876, best known for its flagship Bombardier Premium British Bitter — one of the UK's most-sold premium cask ales. In 2017, brewing operations were merged with Marston's to form Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company, though Charles Wells retained its pub estate and the Bombardier brand continues to be produced and sold nationally.
