A nod to the history of women in beer, this traditional style English Porter is full bodied and slightly sweet, using a simple, darker malt bill and the addition of wheat for head retention. To make this English Porter we added traditional English hop Ernest in the whirlpool to provide a light spiced apricot aroma and we have also used the same yeast as Afterhede, our sister beer, brewed in partnership with Salford Women's Aid, for a clean and paired fermentation profile.
