Our Stout is of course black, and the northern part of Devon in which it is brewed has many thousands of pheasants, particularly between mid-September and February. A black pheasant, while not actually being black, gives off sheens of dark blue and greens, and is quite unique - which is our aim for our Stout. Note the use of a Stout glass in the photograph.
