Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, is the world's most northerly Scotch whisky distillery, founded in 1798 and now owned by the Edrington Group. Drawing on a unique combination of lightly heather-peated malt, sherry-seasoned casks and the cool, maritime climate of Orkney, Highland Park produces some of the world's most complex and balanced single malts — with the 12, 18 and 25-year-old expressions consistently voted among the finest Scotch whiskies in existence.
