About
Jennings Brewery is a traditional Cumbrian brewery founded in 1828 in Lorton before moving to Cockermouth in 1874, drawing brewing water from the well of the original castle moat. Now owned by Marston's, Jennings produces traditional Lake District ales — including Cumberland Ale, Cocker Hoop and the dark Sneck Lifter — that have been a fixture of Cumbrian pub culture for almost two centuries.
