Loxwood Meadworks was founded in 2018 by Danny Bacon, inspired by mead he sold at the Loxwood Joust, the annual medieval festival he organises on his family's 30-acre woodland meadow in West Sussex. He partnered with Ritz-trained sommelier Emily Lambert to reimagine mead for a modern audience — producing crisp, dry, wine-style meads from honey harvested at their own Loxwood Meadow apiary, with a commitment to bee conservation and donating a percentage of profits to the Bee Friendly Trust.
