
This is our take on a Yorkshire Stingo, a now rarely seen local style of beer, essentially only made by a certain Smith family of Tadcaster. Sot caramel and bonfire toffee flavours come from a blend of Crystal malts, with a drier biscuit undercurrent from some amber malt. Historically an oak-conditioned strong ale, we opted to use brewers sugar to boost the ABV and hopped with traditional UK variety, East Kent Goldings. After fermentation we conditioned the beer on ex-whisky wood chips for notes
