About
Traquair House Brewery is an independent brewery at the historic Traquair House in Innerleithen, Peeblesshire — said to be the oldest inhabited house in Scotland. Revived in 1965 by Laird Peter Maxwell Stuart, the brewery produces Traquair House Ale in the original 18th-century brewing equipment, fermenting in oak vessels unchanged for over two centuries, making it one of Britain's most historically remarkable and atmospheric breweries.
