Gregg's Pit Cider & Perry is an award-winning artisan cidery in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, founded by James Marsden in 1994 after he restored a derelict 18th-century cottage and orchard — its orchards unsprayed since the 1920s. Using 100% pure juice from vintage cider apple and perry pear varieties — including its own named Gregg's Pit perry pear, the mother tree of which is over 200 years old — the cidery holds PGI status for Herefordshire Cider and Herefordshire Perry, has won 12 Big Apple Champion Perry awards and CAMRA UK Gold Champion Perry 2008.
