Winemakers Notes Appearance – A good depth of ruby red moving towards garnet on the rim. Nose – Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit aromas lifted by dried rose petal, hints of dried cranberry and sweet spice. Palate – Medium bodied with silky tannins showing dark cherry and tobacco on the palate. There’s a great length of sweet spice on the finish from maturation in French oak barriques. This well-balanced wine, with its rich fruit and spice character, has a versatile pairing with food ranging from game and lamb dishes to spiced grilled vegetables and tomato- based sauces. 12% Vol.
