Wine

Annie Coplestone at Heron Farm – Two nights only – 4/5th September If you’re local, there’s a good chance you’ll already know Annie Coplestone from Fennel Tapas or The Monmouth Table in Lyme Regis. These days Annie lives in Barcelona with her twin girls, where she runs sought-after food tours, so we’re incredibly lucky to have her back in Devon for just two evenings at Heron Farm. On a personal note, Annie is a good friend of mine, so it’s a real privilege to welcome her into our kitchen. I’ve admired her cooking for years, and I honestly can’t wait to have her in our kitchen! Annie has spent more than 17 years building an impressive career, beginning at the renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland when she was just 19. She went on to cook at some of the country’s most respected kitchens, including River Cottage, River Café and Moro, where she developed her love of simple, produce-led cooking and an unwavering commitment to quality. It was a four-year move to Barcelona that truly cemented her passion for tapas. Immersed in the city’s vibrant food culture, Annie embraced the relaxed style of sharing plates, seasonal ingredients and generous hospitality that defines Spanish dining. It’s a style of cooking that feels perfectly at home here at Heron Farm. For these two special evenings, Annie has created a menu inspired by late summer, bringing together the very best local ingredients with the bold, vibrant flavours of Spain. Tables are now open for Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September. Places are limited and booking is essential. Please note, there will be a menu for you to choose from on the night, it is not a set menu with set price.
